I got my first car, 06 certified used toyota corolla s from here. Everything went smoothly, they gave my mom a great deal in lowering the price by a few 1,000's. Only problem we encountered was that it didnt come with an automatic doorlock button, but they finally agreed to give us a free one, and made us an extra key because it only had one copy. But they pretty much had no choice with that. Overall i'd say a good place to buy cars.

We bought two cars there with my wife, the first was a yaris the sales guy John was really cool really helpful we got a nice deal. Then we decide to buy a RAV4... and here comes the drama we wet there with 2 others dealers proposals in mind, John our sales guy wasn't there. We spend 45mn with a loser that wasn't able to provide us a price for what we want ! We left a call John our previous sales guy to help us with this deal and we finally buy it there.

The RAV4 was a bad choice, the first 3 weeks we went back 3 times to Toyota Sunnyvale, the cigarette lighter was not working so impossible to plugin my GPS, then no way to close the glove box and to finish we had a gas liking issue on our trip to Vegas....

Smoothly went from Internet quote to owning a new Prius with all the bells and whistles in 35 days.

I used some unnamed car website (honestly I cannot remember which) to request a quote on a Prius (my other car is a Ferrari with a gun rack, seriously....).   I heard back immediately (love computers!) from Jamie Cassady with a quote.  As you may know, thanks to crazy gas prices and wacky Californians, the Prius is in high demand.  Jamie told me it would be 8-12 weeks before the one I wanted (with the touring package in the right color, etc.) would be available.  I put a fully-refundable $500 down to reserve a car.

I checked in with him every other week via email.  Jamie was quick to respond and very gracious.  Now the magic part:  35 days into a 92 day process, I got two voicemails and an email from Jamie that someone else had passed on my model and I could own it!

Needless to say, we took it.  I managed to avoid buying all the extended warranties and so forth despite my inherent desire to please all finance managers.   Pickup and purchase was simple and quick (less than 2 hours), and we now love the car.

Hint to all car buyers:  shop on the internet, and then you do not have to worry about pushy sales people!

Recommended.

Our buying experience with Toyota Sunnyvale was EXCELLENT!  It took us only a day to wait for our new van. The color and model was not available the day we arrived the dealership. We were only limited to a certain amount, however, with a lot of educational information we got from these people, we ended up with the BEST VAN with all the maintenance,  protection and entertainment upgrades!

ROBERT ANDREWS: very pleasing, polite and cool person.  He was the first one who replied to our inquiries via e-mail.  He stayed with us till 9PM just to make sure everything was covered. He showed us in detail all the features of the van when it was ready for pick up. His stories amazed us as well. He saw us took off  with our new van and wave goodbye to our 3 daughters.

ERIC SWANSON: a very patient and systematic person. He stayed with me in the IM the night we need to decide for the dealership.  He gave me the best price and the van I really need.  The van is not available but he made sure I will get it immediately with all the color and upgrades we required.  He had provided us options, suggested and offered us the best payment scheme.

ESMI ALCARAZ: very pro-active and smart fellow.  We ended up with getting the maintenance, protection plus, alarm system, and lo-jack.

Truly, God has shown us which dealership to go and we were privileged to have TOYOTA SUNNYVALE as our dealership!

After spending several hours in the internet learning how to purchase new cars, I should say that I need not have gone through that much pain. Mr. Robert Andrews from the sales department made sure of that. The procedure was very simple.

Got a quote online from Toyota Sunnyvale (from Robert). Checked for the price he quoted with several prices that I got online from Edmunds, cars.com, yahoo autos, as well as from other toyota dealers. In my case, there was a specific request. I was looking for a Rav4 (base model) with three rows of seats.

That particular models was not available in Northern California. There were only 5 cars coming to NorCal and I needed one of them. Otherwise, I was about to go to LA to get that particular model. When I told Robert about this, he assured me that I can get one of those five cars. The good thing was, I was not overcharged for this (i.e., not taking advantage of my situation). I really liked that.

When I decided I am going to buy from Toyota sunnyvale, I was still nervous because I have read horror stories online when you purchase with your own finance. Again, everything was very smooth here. I went to the shop. Directly met Robert. We waited for few minutes, as he was delivering a car to another new car owner. After that, he explained me everything slowly.

Finally, I was taken to the finance department, where I thought something will definitely come up. I was expecting something to go wrong. But, you know what, Mr. David Hidalgo was very nice and helped me to make things extremely easy.

In about one and half hours from the moment we entered, we came out with a new car. Its been three weeks now. As of now, I can surely say that I am really happy that I went to Robert (and Toyota sunnyvale). He was never pushy, very relaxed. If I decide to buy second car, I am definitely going to Toyota sunnyvale and my first (and probably, only) quote will be from him. In the past three weeks, he has called twice to make sure that I am doing okay with the new car. I definitely want to thank him. In this internet world, information is valuable. I can guarantee that a prospective owner will be never go unsatisfied, if they go to Robert.

Such a nice person should be rewarded.

I have had a pleasant experience buying a new Toyota Prius from Jet at Toyota Sunnyvale. He told me that I would wait for 2 months and he would give me an update every two weeks. I was very happy to be assured like like this. Within a month, he called to tell me that a new Prius was available for us. Everything went well afterwards. After I drove the new Prius home, Jet called to tell my husband that he left his pouch in his office. We got the pouch. We called Jet later because we left the other car key behind. Jet promptly found the car key and mailed it to us.

I bought a Camry V6 in july 4, 2008 with $1,500 rebate. The Sale Bryan Moore of Toyota-Sunnyvale was nice and treated me carefully, answered all my questions. I can feel he is new for car sales, but he really try to do his job best.

The paper work went through smoothly. The paper work man explained the key points to me, and went through the process which the law enforced to do so.

why I don't give 5 stars? because the price I bought was on the local paper Ad. I did not need go through the price negotiation processing. I reserve one star for that.

Stealing of passenger property during Oil Change in Sunnyvale Toyota

I lost my entire original CD collection (worth more than $500) that i had bought from various CD stores over the past 10 years to the Toyota Sunnyvale service staff.

I am a careful person, i usually take the CD folder before leaving the car for an oil change. On that particular i decided to trust the staff, i asked the Service rep, if it was ok to leave the CD folder and he assured me that nothing would wrong.

When I noticed that the CD collection was missing, i asked the service manager Juan. He completely denied any wrong doing by his staff.

I don't think i am getting the CD's back, but i wanted to highlight this incident to other toyota owners who use Sunnyvale Toyota.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR VALUABLES LIKE CD's, SUNGLASSES AT HOME BEFORE YOU TAKE THE CAR TO SUNNYVALE TOYOTA.

Sunnyvale toyota service team is not honest team.

Best car buying experience we have ever had.  We smoothly went from Internet quote to owning a new Prius with all the bells and whistles in 35 days.

We called the Internet Sales Department at Toyota Sunnyvale to request a quote on a Prius and heard back immediately with a quote that was thousands of dollars less than the quotes we had from Seattle and Portland Toyota dealers.   We put a fully-refundable $500 down to reserve a car and were told that it would be about 12 weeks before our choice in color and options was available.

We were surprised to receive a call four weeks later telling us that our second choice color was available with cloth seats or they would install after-market leather if we preferred (which we did) for about $60 more than factory..

The car was ready when we arrived  and the leather looked better than factory installed.  Pickup and purchase was simple and quick (less than 2 hours), and we were on our way with a brand new Prius.

I couldn't find the car I wanted at the price I wanted.  I called Toyota Sunnyvale, spoke with Lorraine, and 4 hours later drove home in the exact car I wanted at the price I wanted.  Customer Service was EXCELLENT.  The entire team that worked on the car met me to shake my hand after the purchase.  I have been a Toyota owner .. landcruiser....for the past 15 years and am looking forward to the next 15 in my new Highlander Sport.  The Toyota Sunnyvale team was honest, upfront, knowledgeable, and an absolute delight to work with.  I will have all the maintenance done at their shop.  Toyota Sunnyvale has an execellent team and staff.

This is a review only for my experience with internet sales quotes from Robert Andrews.  I'm a big fan of shopping around before buying a car by asking for quotes from multiple dealerships.  Of the dealerships I asked for quotes, most kept sending me spam or unhelpful/vague proposals.  Robert Andrews at Sunnyvale Toyota got right to the point, gave me a great first quote, and followed it up by letting me know that Toyota was giving a $500 rebate on RAV4s for the month of July.  The other dealers I contacted didn't even bother to inform me about that (probably intending to swallow the $500 themselves and bump up the price).

I would definitely have bought from Robert except that he did not have the colour(s) I wanted in stock.  In the end I bought a car from a dealership which did have the colour in stock but I had to go in and argue with them for 3 hours, refusing various "options" like an $800 car alarm and finally getting them to match Robert's quote (which they were not very happy about).

Right after I bought the car I came home and found an even lower quote from Robert!  He had searched around to find an unusual configuration for me which he had originally thought was not available in this region.  I was sorry I didn't have the opportunity to buy from him as he seemed very straightforward.  However, I do think that the future of car sales is going to be with people like this who can give specific low price quotes including "out the door" price which I found incredibly helpful, rather than the flashy dinosaurs who sit around the dealership trying to force people into accepting "options" they don't want.

At 7 p.m. one Thursday night I had no idea we'd be buying a Prius 24 hours later. Let me explain. The husband started working at Google the week before Christmas. Google was offering it's employees a $5000 credit towards a Prius... if it was bought before the end of the year. Hence the night we were supposed to drive to San Diego for the holidays, the husband said, "Buying a Prius tomorrow might be a good idea..." Also, we wanted to get better gas mileage for the trip so we wanted to drive it to San Diego, so it was amusing when tToyota Sunnyvale gave us a guarantee of our money back within 3 days or 200 miles since we drove 550 miles the following day.

Anyway, the husband e-mailed several Toyota dealers in the South Bay, and Toyota Sunnyvale sent him the lowest price. We didn't care as much about the color, but thankfully they had one of our favorite two - magnetic grey - in stock. Apparently, there had been A LOT of Google employees by to buy Priuses that month. (Not surprising considering when you visit Google, about a third of the cars are Priuses.)

On our way to the dealership at 6:30 p.m. the husband suggested getting dinner after we bought the car. I thought he was high because I remember how much time was involved last time at a different dealership. We ended up leaving after 11 p.m.! (Glad we ate dinner before!). I don't fault the dealer - I think it just takes time to get everything ready to buy the car. Also, we had to test drive it the *first time* that night (that's part of why it was crazy that we suddenly realized we had to get one).

Anyway, Robert helped us. He was very nice and didn't give off a car salesman vibe. We had a bad experience with the middle manager guy at a previous dealership so when we had to sit down with Toyota Sunnyvale's equivalent we were dreading it. You know the middle manager guy - he's the one who tells us you how you need an extended waranty because your car's a piece of crap, right after the salesperson's been telling you nonstop how your great your car is and how long it will last. We pre-empted him and told him we weren't interested, and thankfully he mostly listened to that (he did still try to sell us on the usual stuff), and joked that at the very least he might as well do good on the survey.

At the end they take a picture of you with your new car (complete with big red bow) that they e-mail you a few days later. That's a nice touch. Unfortunately they didn' t let me keep the bow.

Geez I hate this place. I came here with my older brother looking for a Toyota Yaris (I'm a HUGE SUCKER for small little cars with good gas mileage), and the service I got from here was HORRIBLE.
We ask them simple questions we want to know about the fucking car and we get stupid replies and they treat us like we can't speak english.

Geez, WHAT THE FUCK, I WANT TO BITCHSLAP YOU. For your information I was born in America, okay? And I happen to have a 4.0 GPA (typical Asian gene, what can I say? hehe)  and I happen to be majoring in chemistry, and what are you doing? Selling cars? HA. So shut the fuck up if you want some business.

So basically.... they weren't serving us well and acted like a bunch of dickwads you'd think you'd ONLY see on TV.  Well, en contraire, my friend.. en contraire..

Bitch.

Well, I happened to buy a different car that I'm satisfied with, too bad it isn't the Yaris.  It's a Scion xA... manual transmission (because I'm such a hardcore asian girl, ya know what I'm sayin'?)

Stay away from this place, the only reason why I'm giving it one star is because 1) they actually had the yaris and I was allowed to sit in it
and 2) because I can't rate any lower.

We just bought a used Highlander and were very pleased with our experience.  The sales manager who assisted us  (Lorraine Minten)  was friendly and not pushy.   The used car manager was honest and fair with our trade in and gave us a great deal on  the Highlander.  The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it took a long time to get through the process.  This was partly because the dealership was very busy (weekend) and we had to insist on getting a second key made (only one came with the car which was a bit strange to us, considering we provided 3 with our trade in).
I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone who wants to avoid the "slick rick" sales guy and  "lets make a deal" atmosphere that still exists at many places.

Not a good experience here.  We came to look at 4Runners.  We waited at least 15 minutes before we were able to track down a salesperson.  The sales guy seemed a bit reluctant to let us go on a test drive (maybe he didn't think we were serious about purchasing a car because we were dressed kind of grungy?) and didn't really provide a lot of useful information about the car when we asked questions.  Halfway through the test drive, he got a call that one of his appointments was waiting for him so we were hastily dropped off.  We wanted to see the Sport edition so he told us to go up to the roof and look for them.  We weaved our way through the showroom and finally found the cars on the roof but could not find one 4Runner up there.  After wandering aimlessly around, we gave up and left.  You could tell that they didn't want our business.

Wow where to start, I didn't buy my car here (scion xa) but I have taken my car here for service a couple times. I have gone here because it close to my house and it has some decent prices on a few things.

The service center here is horrible, they are not timely, I have only once been notified when my car was ready. So let me tell you a couple tales of how the service here sucks

One time I went here and they missed coded my car as a scion tc, so when I went to get my car they would not give it to me because they though I owned a tc and not a xa. I showed the people my paperwork that has the VIN on it but they still would not believe me until they service person came over and said that was my car.

Today was my most recent run in with them and it was nothing less then poor poor poor service. So I drop my car off and the guy says that my car will be ready in about 1 hour. I was going to look for a few video games so I walk down the street find the games that I want and head back. It has been about 45 minutes at this point so it is right on the time line. I go inside and hop on my notebook and start the waiting game. I then see person after person that has come in after me get in and get out. At around 1:15 I decide to find out what has happened to my car. So keep in mind that we are over the 2 hour mark. I go up to the service guy that helped me and ask for a status update on my car. I look down on the paper and it looks like that my car has been ready since 12:30 but it seems like nobody came to notify me, once again poor service. So now I go pay for the work they have done and go wait for my car. I stand there for about 10-15 minutes before my car shows up. The reason that my car took so long was because they couldn't find it, once again way to go guys.

So if you want poor service, long wait times and people that seems to know what they are doing when they work on your car then come here.

Thinking of buying a new car? Go to Sunnyvale Toyota, or go elsewhere and prepare yourself for hours of endless haggling. I actually walked out of 2 other Toyota dealers before locating this oasis from the madness. I got an amazing price, was treated well, and our sales agent (who I had been dealing with over the phone) even came to pick my boyfriend and I up from the Cal train station-- talk about service.

I would hands down give this place 5 stars if the moron in finance hadn't spent an hour and a half trying to get me to buy the extended warranty and then insulting me when I declined. But hey, no place is perfect. Overall, buying my car here was a great experience.

I absolutely loathe going to dealerships, having to deal with shady people and get pushed to purchase options that I don't want.  So, I went with this strategy: Go to some dealership a few miles away, test drive what I want, and head out to another dealer.  I did just that.  I called around (only spoke to a fleet/internet manager) and told each dealer the specific options/colors that I wanted.  Toyota Sunnyvale had the lowest price, so I drove over there and told them the quote.  They found the car for me, we did all the paperwork and I drove home that night with my new car.  Pretty smooth process.

The only thing I really hated was the finance guy.  "How many miles do you usually drive a year?" "We offer this awesome warranty 97% of people buy." "No? Well how about this one? It's just as good." "Discounts? This is already below MSRP!" "Ok, well if you drove a Toyota before, I can get you a $100 discount, but you used to have a Honda"  "NO? Ok, well how about if I can get you that $100 discount anyway" "NO? Well good luck with your car then, BTW: you can only buy this before you take delivery of the car, you know that right?"

What a jackass.  I checked online, and you can buy these warranties for HALF of what they're selling them for (if you want it).  AND, you can buy them before you hit 3 years / 36,000 miles of ownership.  Lies, lies, lies.  Otherwise I would have given this place 5 stars.  I'd still go here to buy a car, but if you don't want the warranty, make it absolutely clear with the fleet/internet manager beforehand, and if they still push it to you, just walk out.

Got a great deal here and had a great experience.  The sales guy, Jim, was very helpful.  And best ever, they offer a full refund policy if you don't like the car you buy.  I bought a used car here just last night.  Jim was great, took us on a test drive before trying to size up my wallet.  Told him what I was looking for with regards to payment and they worked me a great deal!  Would definately purchase from them again.  I had been at Chrysler right down the street checking out their 300's, they wouldn't even give me a test drive because the manager said he didn't want to waste my time, basically told me to get off the lot if you know what I mean, since I was asking for a pretty low payment.  I am glad I left, I got the same car, less miles and in better condition for a much much much better price.

Leased a Prius this past summer. AVOID RIC DICKERSON. He's a manager but he is rude and hasty. He's rude when negotiating, rude when test-driving. He sat my dad in driver's seat and made me sit in back while he sat passenger. If we weren't so desperate for a car that day we would have left. He kept sighing as if he was bored and had better things to do than sell a car (HIS JOB), and minding his other business when he should have given us, his customers, his full attention. He left us in the middle of our session because he overbooked himself, had another guy come and help us (who was much nicer) and then came back when we were about to drive our new car away to give him good reviews when Toyota sends us the comment sheets. Toyota never sent them and it's been almost 5 months. Ric puts the DICK in his own last name.

Rest of the staff was pleasant.....but DICKerson was so bad that he brings only 1 star to the whole firm. Even the other staffmembers were back-talking him, what does that say?

The absolute worst dealer of any kind I've ever been to. I came in ready and able to buy a car during my lunch break. The salesman that got assigned to me is a complete prick. He treated me like an idiot and wasn't nice or professional the entire time I was there.

After an hour and a half, I hadn't test driven a single car. I found out that they were going to give me a miserly $2,200 trade-in on a car with a blue-book value of $5,000 - $7,000. Then I never got an answer on whether my financing would be approved. I'm still waiting for them to tell me whether a bank will finance an auto loan or not.

The slick sales manager went to lunch in the middle of the almost-transaction after taking a personal cell phone call in front of me. They wasted my time and I have nothing to show for it.

I was afraid that this would be the kind of place where they won't let you walk out the door without buying a car. In fact, there's a good chance I would have bought a car. They gave me a hundred reasons why I shouldn't buy a car from them, and didn't even TRY to sell me.

What happened to the smooth-talking car salesman who would finesse you into a car that you can just barely afford? When did they get replaced with rude jackasses who act like you're unwelcome?

I hate buying a car, but this was a pleasant experience, couldn't believe it. Went here to trade in my bmw, wouldn't give me what I wanted, but were very nice. Left and sold it on my own. Needed a used car and they had a nice one. Went in with a figure and cash, and walked out 15 mins. later with the car. Nononsense, direct approach, loved it. Don't regret anything and got a good price. They filled it with gas and I was on my way!

Sunnyvale Toyota was decent enough to straight out tell us that they could not match the price that SF Toyota would give us rather than waste our time.  Our interaction here was short but they were very nice.

Went in to get an oil change and tire rotation for my Prius.  Pretty straightforward stuff.

They were running a promotion whereby you bring in a toy worth over $10 (new, I'd assume :), and then they give you an oil change for $9.95.

To my pleasant surprise, this is indeed what happened... without any sort of obnoxious upsell other than a tire rotation which I was interested in getting anyway.  No "How about our oil change premier supreme with special break checking and blah blah blah" like I've gotten from other places.

I brought the car in on a pretty busy holiday weekend and kinda late in the day, so I wasn't too upset when the guy said the job'd take about an hour and a quarter.  He agreed to call me, and I went for a walk.

At almost an hour and a quarter on the dot, he called, I came back, car was waiting for me.  Total price with taxes, $30something.

Only ding:  no free car wash.  They have a car wash there, so I was a bit surprised and bummed that my car wasn't given the nice wet treatment and brought back to me all clean and shiny.  Bummer. :(

I'm pretty happy with my deal, but I don't know, maybe it varies from person to person; also, I don't actually have a car yet, but do have a price on a reserved car.

I emailed the dealership about a month ago, and have been receiving deals on cars ever since.  Recently, after getting my license, I found a deal on a Corolla.  I called in, and have spoken with Ryan Villasenor, as well as Adam Raines.  Both were very friendly and helpful, and helped me with a great deal on a Corolla '08.

Additionally, they have a 3 day return guarantee, as well as a 12 day (I think) exchange grace period.  Free annual 119-point inspection, which I'm not sure what that is, but I'm sure I'll learn soon enough.

Will update this after I actually go in to buy it.

Update.  Far late, but basically, the deal came through, guy was really nice about everything, didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't need, and I was in and out in about one hour.

I bought a Prius from these guys, and I actually drove all the way from LA to get it.

They have an excellent, and highly competitive Internet Sales group. The price they quoted me was below invoice, no dealer charges, and the woman I dealt with was straight forward and honest (Lorraine Midden).

Imagine that! In a car dealer, no less.

I would highly recommend dealing with the Internet Sales, and skipping the Retail group who deal with walk-ins. They have a huge inventory, and really made the car buying experience easier than I had experienced anywhere in LA (and I had been looking for quite awhile).

I bought my Highlander from Toyota Sunnyvale 3 years back, and I take the vehicle back to them for service every time.  I have received consistently good service.  The buying experience was excellent, unlike some of the other dealers in the area (like Land Rover of San Jose, where I bought my last SUV).  The salespeople are not pushy and the service reps are professional.  I even used one of the empty cubicles in their showroom to get some work done one time when I was waiting for an oil change (free wi-fi helps).

We bought a Prius here in fall '06.  There wasn't much haggling over the Prius at that point but this place was offering them for, I think, $250 less than other places, so that was a perk.  We went in to put our name on the waiting list for a red '07 prius with gray interior in what I think was package 3 or C - pretty middle of the road.  Turned out someone had just cancelled on an ordered and delivered '06 red with gray interior in the package we wanted - so we walked (well, drove) out with our car when we'd planned to go on the waiting list.  Dumb luck more than good dealer, but still a great experience.

Anywho.  My husband and I are expecting twins in about 3 months and we already have a 4 year old and you cannot fit 3 car seats in the back of a Prius (and I'm one of those moms who is keeping my son in a convertible seat as long as he will let me, no booster) - so we are in the market for a van.  We decided on an 8 passenger Sienna.

Despite our good experience with Sunnyvale, we decided to check out the new Piercey that recently opened in Milpitas since we live in Milpitas.  We test drove a green LE with beige interior, package 1, and went to talk price.  This was on a Friday.

My husband had been researching invoice price vs. MSRP etc etc etc...  how to haggle on a new car and so on.  The invoice of the Sienna we wanted was 23something.  Piercey was initially asking 27something.  My husband made a ridiculous counter offer and it went back and forth from there.  Eventually they quoted a price of 24something which my husband still felt was too high, so we left.

When we got home he started emailing some other dealers for quotes on the 8 passenger LE package 1 in blue - which was the color i really wanted.  Sunnyvale got back to him the next day with a price of 23,7something - $250 over invoice.

The next day (Sunday) Piercey called us and offered the green van at invoice.  Tough call - $250 less than Sunnyvale but really not the color I wanted.  The green was OK...  but I was kind of lukewarm on the beige interior.  I think the beige shows dirt more plus my son's car seat is gray and while I'm not hard-core fussy about such things, it would be nice if they matched.  And there was the fact that it took them 2 days to drop from a ridiculous price to a good one.

We decided to go to Sunnyvale and get the van I really wanted.  On the lot they had it with beige interior which was OK...  but I'd prefer gray.  They checked at their off-site storage for one with gray interior and they had one so we had to wait about 40 minutes for it to arrive but it was worth it.

We didn't try to talk them down in price since we felt they were reasonable to begin with.  Maybe you could talk them down, who knows.  I saw it as $250 for a van I loved vs. -$250 for a van that was eh.

The only drawback was it took FOREVER to get out of there.  I don't remember it taking so long with the Prius.  Part of that was waiting for our van to arrive from off-site.  The bigger part seemed to be that they clean and detail it before they let you take it home - which is nice, I guess, but not when you are trying to entertain a bored and antsy 4 year old.  I also don't quite understand why a brand new car needs detailed but whatever.  It took about 3 hours, start to finish, to get out of there - and this did not include a test drive since we'd already driven the van at Piercey.  And we paid cash which seems like it should have expedited things.

If you want a dealer with a decent selection in stock who will give you a fair price without a lot of hassle, I recommend Sunnyvale Toyota.

We haven't had to have a lot of service with out Prius yet (just 2 oil changes, I think) but service goes well there, too, as far as we can tell.  Better prices than the prices Piercey is currently advertising, too.

We are keeping our Prius so I can't comment on their trade-in values.

Bought a Rav 4 here tonight, woo!  Our salesperson, Lucas, was great.  The only drawback was that they couldn't get us the car we wanted for a while, but it worked out in the end, and we walked away happy with the price we paid, and with the exact car we wanted, right down to the color.  I'm not sure this technically qualifies as a "No Hassle Zone," as the signs claim, but since buying a car seems to be an inherently hassle-laden enterprise, I guess I'll give them that one.

**********
Update (1/30/08) - I recently bought a Prius from another dealership, but we went back here first, since we had a good experience last time.  Not so much this time.  The sales manager used every dirty trick in the book once they got us in the office to negotiate price.  It was extremely unprofessional, and we left without even shaking hands (and certainly without a thought of going back).  I paid over $1,000 less elsewhere, plus I didn't get treated like dirt.  So, average my previous 4-star review and a sub-one-star rating for this go-around, and I'll give it 2 stars.  Apparently it's a mixed bag here.  Go to Capitol Toyota instead!

Hands down, the worst service I'v'e ever received from an auto dealership. Not that I expect great service from auto dealerships; but, I expect to atleast get somewhat honest service. After having to ask for someone to show me a car (when has that ever happened in an auto dealership!), I spent the next two months sorting through the constant lies and cover ups about how my deposit money got lost, my car order got lost, the color of the car got changed mysteriously by itself. And to boot, the manager had the gaul to lecture me about how hard his job is, and that was why I received the kind of service I did. There is no excuse for trying to lie to cover up your employees' incompetence.

I am posting this as 2 Stars, but possibly should be one. My Mother purchased a new Prious a few days ago. She actually purchased it from the Toyota of Richmond. So with a brand new car you expect that everything will work. She found that the AC would not get cold. I live in Sunnyvale, so after she talked to the salesman in Richmond who said we can bring it to any dealer, we went to Sunnyvale as it is closer to where we live.

Mom called Sunnyvale Toyota, the person who answered the phone said "Bring it on in" When we got there we talked to one of the Assistant Service Managers. Gave her the paperwork and told her about the AC not getting cold. She got my moms Cell # and we left, thinking that in an hour or two we would hear from her. We did not. After about 3 hours, we called and got her voice mail. Left a message to call us to give a progress report. Did not get a call back. So after about 4 hours we went back. We found that they did nothing to fix the car because they did not have a needed tool and did not have the oil to add to the AC. All they did was verify the complaint. Now you need to know that this is the 8Th month of this model year. I would think that this would be ample time to get the needed tools.

What made my Mom mad, was that 1. they did not call to give us an update.  2. they did not have the parts. and 3. they did not have a "Loaner", so she could leave it to get fixed.

I talked to the General Manager at the Richmond Toyota, and he was shocked. So My Mom is going to have to drive 3 times farther to get the car fixed, as they "Have the parts and oil".

At least they were polite. We were told by Toyota of Sunnyvale to call in a few days 2-3 days before and make an appointment and ask if they have a "Loaner" available before leaving the car.

Slow but friendly sales staff, very small inventory and high prices. I wanted to buy from them since they're my local dealer, but they couldn't match the deal I got at Capitol Toyota.  Sales staff doesn't seem particularly experienced.

I'll admit I am surprised at some of the negative reviews here.  I've visited this location twice in the past year - once last year, and again recently.  I've had several salesman help me out and be very friendly, willing to explain the different models to me, and I've never felt pressured at all.

Recently, I test drove a Rav4 with a very friendly salesman Lucas.

I haven't bought a car here so I'll reserve the 5th star for if I do.  But I think the sales staff was very nice.

I will never service my car again at this location!!! I had my 99 Camry recently serviced here and was totally disappointed to know that they didn't replace a part that they invoiced me for including labour. When I called back with the same problem they started blaming other things and later agreed to replace the part that was broken. They also overcharged to cover the discounts they were offering me as I later found out that I could have done the same service at another Toyota location much lesser cost. Did not get any help from their manager and I'm going to stop there! No more service from this center again ever!!!

We own a toyota camry and checked several dealerships. This was by far the worst. The floor manager was obnoxious and kept playing all the sleazy dealer tricks you read about online.. we bought our car at Piercy, through the internet service.

On the advice of a friend, I just bought my Matrix from Toyota Sunnyvale.  Their internet team really came through for me.  I was in a huge hurry, working two jobs, to be able to buy my car in the evening and get the whole transaction completed quickly.  I've spent hours buying a car before, but Ric had me in and out the door fast.  I guess everbody can have a bad experience now and again, but it really takes good people like Ric to make a great experience possible.

Bought a used Lexus IS350 from Toyota Sunnyvale. By far the best experience I have every experienced with a dealership. The car was immaculate and the service was impeccable.
